In partnership with APCEIU, the Ministry of Primary and Mass Education of Bangladesh (MoPME) has been implementing the Global Citizenship Education (GCED) Curriculum Development and Integration (CDI) Project in Bangladesh since 2022. As part of this project, a curriculum development committee (CDC) meeting was held at the MoPME in Dhaka, Bangladesh, on May 5, 2024, with key stakeholders in attendance.

During this meeting, this year's main activities, including finalizing the GCED Curriculum Mapping Report and the development of the GCED Teacher Training Guidelines along with concrete implementation plans were discussed and decided upon.

In the first year of the project, 2022, the state of GCED in Bangladesh was analyzed, culminating in the Situational Analysis for the GCED CDI Project in Bangladesh. In the second year, 2023, the CDC was officially formed, and the curriculum mapping for GCED integration at both the primary level and in teacher education for the primary level was conducted. This year, the final year of the Bangladesh project, GCED-integrated Teacher Training Guides and supplementary teaching-learning materials will be developed and disseminated.
